| iSOFT's involvement: iSOFT is the lead sponsor of the 2009 Connecting Healthcare Conference, which focuses on the interoperability of systems across all healthcare settings, with the aim being to help attendees to overcome issues associated with electronic health records and patient information. The conference sessions and workshops will be based around:
- Sharing information and connectivity across healthcare
- Gaining access to patient information in real time
- Ensuring excellent data quality and reliability
iSOFT understands the complexities of the health IT market and recognises the challenges that the industry is struggling with, particularly with regard to the lack of interoperability and connectivity across health services, the slow turnaround of clinical information and the security of that information.
Michael Dahlweid, Chief Medical Officer with iSOFT will be addressing these issues at the Connecting Healthcare Conference, focussing specifically on the importance of building an enterprise wide strategy in order to deliver clinical outcomes across all care settings.
Furthermore iSOFT will be hosting a CEO/CIO Greenroom at the conference, which aims to bring together key decision makers in an open environment to discuss these fundamental eHealth issues.
