Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

As iSOFT's business is wholly in the computer and software support arena, it is considered that the group's operating activities have minimal environmental impact.

The iSOFT Group recognises, however, that there are environmental impacts in running a company and is committed to measuring and reducing these impacts wherever possible. The group believes that it is possible to align its objectives with social, environmental and ethical objectives, without necessarily compromising the primary objective of maximising shareholder return. Indeed, it is believed that these objectives are complementary, as operating in an environmentally and socially sustainable manner provides a stronger basis for future development of the business operations, financial performance, protection of reputation and market valuation.

With operations in five continents, iSOFT is committed, as a minimum, to operating in accordance with the relevant local best practice. In recognition of these matters, the group has developed specific policies and codes of practice in relation to environmental and employment practices.

As a result of this deep commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility, iSOFT has held membership of the FTSE4Good Index since September 2003. Created by the independent global index company, the FTSE Group, the index is designed to identify companies that meet globally recognised corporate social responsibility standards.
