iSOFT‘s main presence is in the UK and Ireland, and its current UK market share is around 40%, following the award of contracts under the National Health Service’s National Programme for IT (NPfIT). In addition, the acquisition of Torex plc in 2003 has enabled the company to establish a firm foothold in mainland Europe, particularly in Germany and the Netherlands. The company also has a strong and well-established presence in the Asia Pacific region.

In recent years, iSOFT has won significant contracts, completed the important Torex merger and announced a global alliance with Microsoft.

iSOFT has continued to invest heavily in LORENZO, the company’s next-generation product, to meet the current and emerging information system requirements of hospitals and primary care physicians. The demonstrable strength of our software applications led to the announcement of our alliance with Microsoft to package LORENZO for ease of implementation by third-party organisations.

iSOFT is sticking to a strategy of product development and delivery that has served the company well so far, and will remain focused on healthcare IT.
