Torex is now iSOFT – new Managing Director Albert Besewski

Torex Switzerland has begun the transition to become iSOFT Switzerland GmbH and appointed a new Managing Director to take the operation forward towards integrated healthcare.

As a result, iSOFT Switzerland clearly becomes an incorporated division of the international iSOFT Group with its head office in Manchester, England. The Swiss organisation located in Schwerzenbach, Switzerland, represents as part of the iSOFT Group, an important part of the world-wide activities of iSOFT.

At the same time, iSOFT Group’s Executive Committee has conferred upon Albert Besewski the title of Managing Director for iSOFT Switzerland as of 1 October 2004. The new Managing Director looks forward to the challenges and demands at a time when significant changes are coming in the Swiss Health Services.

Besewski has studied Computer Science in Düsseldorf and Bochum and also undertook further education in Management and Psychology. In October 1978, in partnership with Klaus Wurm, the pair founded the Wurm & Besewski Management consultancy in Konstanz, Germany. In January 2000, Besewski was named as Managing Director for SAP SI Switzerland, and in 2003 his responsibilities were extended with the additional management of sales for the national and international Service-Industries Division of SAP SI Germany. Today, Besewski brings 26 years of high-level management experience to Swiss health care information management with iSOFT.

iSOFT Switzerland will be presenting its integrated solution for medicine, administration, radiology and laboratory at the IFAS exhibition, in Zürich, from 26 to 29 October 2004.
