Hessing Foundation advances towards universal patient record with iSOFT | |||||||||

iSOFT has announced that the Hessing Foundation in Augsburg, Germany, will be using the LORENZO SolutionCentre to co-ordinate patient information in all of its departments, creating a universal patient record.
All administrative and clinical/medical processes will be mapped on this single integrated IT platform, from outpatient clinics to inpatient wards, including laboratories and radiology through to rehabilitation, delivering standardised workflow optimisation based on the patient record. This follows an announcement last November that the Eichsfeld Klinikum gGmbH had also selected iSOFT as its favoured option to deliver a universal patient record. The Hessing Foundation is internationally renowned for its state-of-the-art equipment and very high standard of medical care. It runs a specialist orthopaedic clinic, two orthopaedic workshops, a treatment and advisory centre, a centre for orthopaedic rheumatology and rehabilitation, a geriatric rehabilitation clinic, as well as the Hessing Park Clinic, a private hospital. The foundation's hospitals have a total of 420 beds for acute cases, private and geriatric care and rehabilitation. With LORENZO SolutionCentre, the foundation is relying on a high-performance, integrated solution that caters for all aspects of medical care and administration. This highly advanced software platform has wide-ranging functionality in the outpatient, inpatient and radiology fields, and includes a PACS system tightly integrated with clinical laboratory and blood bank units. It enables processes to be structured and documented seamlessly in all departments. Throughout workflow-optimised therapeutic procedures, comprehensive information is available to both medical and nursing staff, enabling the Hessing Foundation to further improve its standards of excellence in medical care.
