Spanish healthcare centre adopts iSOFT solution | ||||||||||

The Juaneda Healthcare Network, the largest hospital group on Spain’s Balearic Islands, has successfully introduced the x-HIS hospital information system, developed by iSOFT, at its Juaneda Inca Medical Healthcare Centre.
The newly-installed software, which went live on 2 January, speeds up patient consultations, facilitating access by clinical professionals to patient data, whenever and wherever they need it. x-HIS has begun to operate satisfactorily in the health centre’s departments dealing with outpatient care, invoicing and physiotherapy. This simplifies the management of clinical and administrative information at the centre, which performs an average of 400 consultations per day. The centre is staffed by 40 health professionals and focuses mainly on emergency treatment for children. In 2003, the Juaneda Healthcare Network began an ambitious technology renovation programme with the objective of modernising and unifying its hospital IT systems. Since that time, iSOFT has worked with Juaneda as a technology partner, implementing x-HIS and its departmental solutions in the network’s hospitals and clinics. One Juaneda centre in Palma de Mallorca began installing the application on its systems in 2004, and now almost 100% of the centre’s departments are computerised – from A&E and admissions to surgery, outpatient care, pharmacy, purchasing and physiotherapy. A further 35 Juaneda centres specialising in emergency medical services use x-HIS in their invoicing and outpatient care departments. For further information, please contact: |
