IBA Health Group Executive Chairman and CEO Gary Cohen is pleased to announce the appointment of Julio Bou Santos as Managing Director of iSOFT Spain and Antonio Castillo as Deputy Managing Director, to lead the continued expansion in Spain, Portugal and Latin America.
Julio Bou joined the company in 2002 as Director of International Business Development and was promoted to Deputy Managing Director in 2005. He has over 25 years of experience in the technology sector and an extensive track record in healthcare IT. During his three years as Deputy Managing Director, Julio Bou led the company’s growth in Spain, Portugal and Mexico. Previously he held senior management roles with Hewlett Packard Spain, Medtronic Ibérica and NovaCare, and in organisations such as the Institut Català de Salut. Antonio Castillo joined the company in 1996 as Public Healthcare Division Director and currently holds the position of Operation and Development Director. Previously he held senior management roles in Novasoft Sanidad, where he occupied the position of Healthcare Division Deputy Managing Director from 2002 to 2005. Julio Bou said: “iSOFT Spain will continue to grow and develop under the umbrella of our parent company IBA Health Group, which has operations in over 35 countries, has 13,000 healthcare customers and employs over 3,500 health and technology specialists. We have access to experiences from the world’s largest civilian IT project, the £12 billion (€15.9 billion) UK National Programme for Information Technology (NPfIT) which is delivering electronic health records to a population of over 30 million people, along with experience gained from implementing large multi site paper-less hospitals in Malaysia, South Africa and the Middle East. Access to these experiences will enrich our local product development initiatives keeping us ahead of market needs and providing iSOFT Spain with a capacity to contribute to the needs of the local healthcare market. “We will continue to develop in a steady and constant manner, undertaking initiatives that satisfy market needs and strengthen our communication with this market, our clients and our network of local and international collaborators.” iSOFT’s business has continued to develop since it entered the Spanish market in 2005. The company closed the financial year with a number of new signings and in January opened its new headquarters and development centre at the Andalusia Technology Park. Julio Bou replaces Katrina Diaz who left the company in January. For further information, please contact: |
