New iSOFT MD for Southern Europe, Spain and Latin America

iSOFT today announced the appointment of Guillermo Ramas as Managing Director for Southern Europe, Spain and Latin America.

Guillermo has extensive experience in the healthcare IT sector and vast knowledge of the healthcare, economy and social structure in Europe and Latin America. An economics graduate, he has held a number of senior roles at companies such as Lawson, Agresso Spain, Agfa Healthcare and SMS (Shared Medical Systems), where he worked for 13 years, firstly as Country Manager for Spain and latterly as President of SMS International and Vice-President of the SMS Corporation in the US.

Guillermo’s appointment is a major boost for the company’s expansion plans in Spain, Latin America and Southern Europe.

In recent months, iSOFT has won major projects in Spain and Latin America, including two regional contract extensions with the Andalusia and Balearic Islands healthcare services, and a new contract with the Nuevo León State Healthcare Department in Mexico for an integrated care system at ten hospitals and 470 health centres.
