iSOFT, an IBA Health Group company, a leading global provider of healthcare software solutions, continues its commitment to building its operations in India by expanding its workforce and increasing its presence in India.
iSOFT employs about 4,000 people world-wide with approximately 50% based at its Centres of Excellence in Chennai and Bangalore. As part of its expansion plans, iSOFT has steadily recruited 300 employees over the last quarter and intends to recruit another 300 professionals in the coming months. iSOFT will hire professionals with varied skill sets including developers, testers, technical architects and designers. iSOFT is also looking for healthcare professionals with an IT background to add to its existing pool of doctors, nurses, laboratory technicians and pharmacists. iSOFT is also strategically gearing to increase its presence in the Indian healthcare sector, which is expected to have a market size of US$4bn by 2011. While most international outsourced operations develop only part of the product lifecycle in India, iSOFT is able to offer opportunities for a multi-skilled Indian workforce to build their careers on end-to-end product development from technology and architecture to coding and release. Mr S Govind, Managing Director, iSOFT India, said: “In the wake of the global economic meltdown with most organisations in the process of right-sizing, we are perhaps one of the very few organisations that are recruiting professionals at a steady pace, owing to our strong global footprint. iSOFT is relatively immune from the wider economic crisis and we are expecting to grow our global revenues from A$361 million in FY2008 to the range of A$540 million to A$560 million by FY2009.” About iSOFT
