iSOFT achieves milestone with webPAS go-lives in Australia & NZ

iSOFT Group Limited (ASX: ISF) – Australia's largest listed health information technology company – today announced it successfully completed more than 30 installations of its Web-based patient administration system (webPAS) in Australia and New Zealand this year.

Eight sites went live on 1 June alone, including four with Healthscope and two with Catholic Health. The installations demonstrate iSOFT’s significant progress on projects with Healthscope, St John of God, Independent Private Hospitals of Australia, Catholic Health, and Southern Cross in New Zealand.

“To have more than 30 successful installations this year demonstrates an incredible capacity within our business to understand the clients’ needs and to deliver on their requirements,” said Denis Tebbutt, Managing Director of iSOFT’s Australian and New Zealand business “This is a level of delivery unequalled in this market and shows how we are focused on enabling our clients to deliver better healthcare outcomes through the utilisation of modern technology.”

The 357-bed Murdoch St John of God hospital in Perth was among the largest of the installations – and was the client’s first go-live using iSOFT’s solution in Western Australia following a roll out at all of its hospitals in Victoria last year. Murdoch is the first to use iSOFT’s new integrated bed board, assisting managers in the complex task of bed allocation.

iSOFT’s webPAS is running at ten Healthscope hospitals, with a further nine sites due to go live before the end of the year. The ten are Northpark Private, Lady Davidson, Brisbane Waters, Newcastle Private, Victoria Clinic, Bellbird Private, Tweeds Day Surgery, Parkwynd Private, Griffiths Private, and North Eastern Private.

The webPAS solution was also installed at 12 Southern Cross hospitals across New Zealand, plus the Braemar Private Hospital in Hamilton. It is also live at six Independent Private Hospitals of Australia sites at Essendon, Holyroyd, Longueville, Sydney, Mountain District and Malvern. webPAS was also installed in four Catholic Health hospitals: Hawkesbury District, Lithgow Private, Lourdes Private in Dubbo, and St Vincents Bathurst.

webPAS is iSOFT’s strategic patient administration system for hospitals, enhancing patient flow from admission to discharge. webPAS can manage patient progress across the continuum of care, from administration to clinical with fully integrated departmental systems such as emergency, theatre, outpatients, private practice, referrals, mental health, waiting list and medical records. Renowned for its comprehensive billing engine, webPAS is fully integrated with the health funds for eligibility, electronic claiming and remittance.
