iSOFT opens new office in Mexico to support expansion | |||||

iSOFT Group Limited (ASX: ISF) – Australia's largest listed health information technology company – today announced it opened a new office in Mexico, expanding its workforce presence to 18 locations worldwide as iSOFT seeks to build on its global footprint and strengthen support to customers.
“There is huge opportunity for iSOFT in Mexico and Latin America generally as we have shown with six major contracts in the region,” said Guillermo Ramas, Managing Director of iSOFT Southern Europe and Latin America. “Having a local presence is an important step in our strategy of continued expansion, and to take our know-how and experience to new markets where significant opportunities exist to improve the health services in both public and private sectors. It also meets our objective of providing local knowledge and expertise, local support and services tailored to local needs.” iSOFT’s address and contact details in Mexico are: Meanwhile, iSOFT is supporting further expansion at Mexico’s Guadalajara Hospital, the nation’s biggest, in a contract worth €211,500 (A$376,000). The one-year agreement, in which iSOFT will install its x-HIS hospital information system in a new 150-bed location, is worth €114,000 (A$199,000) in additional licence fees and €97,500 (A$170,000) in maintenance and support. Guadalajara Hospital, which is undergoing a major modernisation programme, in 2007 selected iSOFT’s x-HIS to improve management and patient services in a three-year contract. iSOFT’s other customers in the region are Real San José Hospital at Guadalajara, Nuevo Leon Secretary of Healthcare, Hospital Civil de Guadalajara OPD, and the Women and Children’s Hospital at Monterrey. In March this year, iSOFT also won its first contract in Honduras to develop a central register of information for government departments to manage health services and improve preventative measures.
