iSOFT Group Limited (ASX: ISF) – Australia's largest listed health information technology company – today announced contracts totaling about £3 million (A$5.4 million) for new hospital information systems at two NHS trusts in England.
Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust this month agreed to a six-year contract worth £2.04 million (A$3.7 million), while NHS Wandsworth has signed a three-year £965,000 ($1.7 million) deal. The contract with Sheffield is for a common patient administration system (PAS) across the trust. The Northern Campus is a long-standing customer of iSOFT’s PAS, while the Central Campus is currently using McKesson’s Totalcare product. Both sites will be upgraded to the latest version of iSOFT’s PAS to provide a single, trust-wide solution. iSOFT will also complete a technology refresh, which will include new HP hardware. The £2.04 million total includes £570,000 (A$1 million) for licenses and implementation, and £1.4 million (A$2.5 million) for support and maintenance services for six years. The contract was won in open tender. NHS Wandsworth, a primary care trust that provides community services in London, elected to contract directly with iSOFT for the latest version of its existing PAS solution at the trust’s Queen Mary’s Hospital, Roehampton. The hospital provides outpatient rapid diagnostic and treatment facilities, day care unit, a minor injuries unit, rehabilitation services, 50 elderly and intermediate care beds and 20 rehabilitation beds. The Wandsworth contract includes £182,000 (A$327,000) in licence and implementation fees, and £580,000 (A$1 million) for support and maintenance over three years. “These contracts are further evidence of our commitment to our customers and to delivering solutions relevant to modern healthcare settings,” said Adrian Stevens, Managing Director of iSOFT’s UK and Ireland business. “The new hospital solutions provide new levels of resilience and performance, but also give customers a platform to build on applications that are highly valued.” For further information, please contact: |
