Multi-site Eichsfeld Klinikum gGmbH selects iSOFT to support "tomorrow's health service" | |||||

iSOFT has confirmed that Eichsfeld Clinic gGmbH will progress its vision of healthcare delivery with the LORENZO SolutionCentre. The new solution will support all the Clinics’ hospital with advanced administrative and clinical processes, offering all healthcare professionals an instrument for efficient communication and multi-site documentation on a single common IT platform. In September 2004, GWI now part of AGFA, acquired BOSS AG, a healthcare software company, and all its 200 customers. Its BOSS-KIS hospital information system was built in the late 1980’s based on IBM technology. Eichsfeld Clinic has become the first BOSS customer to elect for migration to the LORENZO SolutionCentre, which will be able to meet all administrative and clinical needs. Eichsfeld Clinic gGmbH is the result of a merger between the St. Elisabeth Hospital in Worbis, Reifenstein General Hospital and the St. Vincenz Hospital, Heiligenstadt. The 560-bed Eichsfeld Clinic has not only been working for years with iSOFT’s financial modules but has also been benefiting from iSOFT’s integrated laboratory solution for several years. An excellent relationship and access to a highly functional forward-looking application offering were pivotal in Eichsfeld decision to deepen relations with iSOFT. With the LORENZO SolutionCentre, Eichsfeld Clinic is implementing an integrated system that allows healthcare professionals to deliver the latest best-practice treatment processes, seamlessly connects the various departments and effectively controls the complex processes in medicine and care. Meeting Eichsfeld Clinic’s goals to organise workflow more time- and cost-effectively whilst also improving the quality of treatment which patients receive.
