Are you looking for a comfy graduate opportunity that puts your career on the fast track to a dead end?
Then perhaps iSOFT's graduate roles aren't quite what you're looking for.
Our graduate opportunities are not for those who lack ambition and talent or those who aren't prepared to excel in achieving a genuine career development path.
An opportunity that guarantees you promotion after two years? Sorry, we will only guarantee a promotion based on your performance from the first day of your employment. At iSOFT you'll be promoted based on results, not how long you've worked for us, which means you might be accepting promotion sooner rather than later.
Do you want to be tutored by people who are so far up the ladder they don't understand you? We know that graduates appreciate the support of a mentor to help keep their career in the right gear and guide them at different times, but the best mentors are those who've experienced graduate life, and we're not talking about 30 years ago either. As a young company, you'll find young mentors who have succeeded in iSOFT and are prepared to help you get on the right road.
A graduate programme that moves you around the business every two months? Motion sickness isn't something we encourage at iSOFT. Starting a new job is a daunting experience and our opportunities offer depth of experience, not superficial department shuffling.
Keeping graduates focused in one area of expertise makes our talent pool more focused, without frustratingly tearing people away mid-project and keeping you guessing about which department we've moved your desk to. In fact, it's this approach that has led iSOFT to be renowned for its workforce with deep domain expertise, with a breadth and depth of knowledge that is in high demand throughout the healthcare industry.
Would you like six months orientation before getting down to work? Career orienteering is not a hobby we encourage our graduates to participate in. Our programme is designed to meet the needs of work-hungry individuals who, having studied in higher education for a number of years, can't wait to get stuck into hands-on roles with genuine responsibility and the opportunity to make an impact.
Our graduate programme doesn't make you wade through stacks of case studies about how every department in our company works. We would rather spend time showing you how important your role is and ensuring you understand what a difference you make.
Weekly appraisals ensure you don't lose your focus, don't they? Perhaps, but you may lose your sanity. iSOFT's emphasis on regular, informal communication with managers and mentors results in keeping you focused but not driven by, and assessed purely on, appraisals. Coupled with periodic assessment every six months to formally review your performance, our graduate programme focuses on helping you achieve the most out of working for iSOFT.
Why is iSOFT different? As we are a company that has grown – from employing less than 30 people in 1998 to one employing more than 2,700 – you might not be surprised to know that we're a technology business with a different view on graduates.
Throughout our business, you'll not only find exceptionally talented people working alongside you, but a team made up of individuals who truly believe iSOFT can and does improve the healthcare received by patients every day in every site our systems can be found in.
iSOFT's outstanding success in an expanding healthcare market has seen the company continue to grow as the leading provider of software applications to public and private sector health organisations world-wide. This is typified by iSOFT's outstanding success in securing substantial contracts within the National Programme for IT (NPfIT) in England. Throughout the array of services involved in the delivery of care, NPfIT will give every citizen a comprehensive electronic health record, accessible to the relevant professionals for the effective delivery of a first-class health service.
As a result, iSOFT is increasing the opportunities open to graduates throughout our Operations, Delivery and Implementation teams, working within the NPfIT programme and other significant projects in our UK and Ireland territories. These unique opportunities will give selected applicants with 2:1 degrees in IT, Science or Mathematics related degrees, the opportunity to excel and participate in one of the largest government IT projects world-wide.
Graduates will face hands-on challenges both within iSOFT offices and in the customer environment. An ability to think on your feet is a clear pre-requisite for such a rewarding challenge. Responsibilities will vary according to the role you choose, from developing testing scripts and providing product consultancy during live implementations to managing product support issues, ensuring new revisions are prepared to agreed schedules, preparing hardware for technical delivery, application performance monitoring and testing and managing the delivery of new product revisions.
Successful applicants will be based in one of our UK headquarters although business travel may be required, potentially including travel to our state-of-the-art Product Development Centre in Chennai, India, for leading graduates. In return, iSOFT offers an initial remuneration package of £18-20,000 plus pension, and an exceptional opportunity to gain experience with a rewarding and expanding employer.
To apply for these roles please complete the application form, detailing any specialist areas within Operations that you might like to be considered for.
